Safety & Trust

Trust is the whole point.

ConnecTico requires local professionals to submit profile and identity information before creating a listing. Here's what we ask of every pro, and what you should know before hiring.

Identity Submission

Local professionals are required to submit government-issued identification and Costa Rican residency information when creating a profile.

Profile Requirements

Professionals are required to provide profile information, contact details, service categories, and identity documentation before listing on ConnecTico.

Community Accountability

ConnecTico is a one-sided review platform: only customers review pros. To help keep ConnecTico trustworthy and community-based, users are encouraged to leave honest reviews after completed services.

Community-Based Trust

ConnecTico encourages honest reviews and community accountability to help users make informed decisions when hiring local professionals.

Strictly No Subcontracting

Zero-tolerance policy: the pro shown on a profile must be the person who arrives for the job. Sending substitutes, friends, or other workers under a Pro's account is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.

Liability Disclaimer

ConnecTico is a platform that connects users with independent local workers. ConnecTico does not directly employ workers and is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any work performed.

Users hire workers at their own discretion. Workers are independently responsible for the services they provide, including any tools, materials, taxes, insurance and compliance with applicable Costa Rican law.

ConnecTico reserves the right to remove any user or worker who violates platform policies. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConnecTico's liability is limited as described in our Terms & Conditions.
