1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ConnecTico ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Nature of the Service
ConnecTico is an online platform that introduces users ("Customers") to independent local workers ("Pros") in Nosara, Costa Rica. ConnecTico does not employ workers, does not perform services itself, and does not act as an agent of either party. All work is performed by independent third parties.
3. No Endorsement of Work Quality
ConnecTico may request identity and residency documentation from professionals listing on the platform. However, ConnecTico does not independently guarantee, certify, or verify the accuracy of information submitted by users. ConnecTico does not guarantee, endorse, or take responsibility for the quality, safety, legality, timeliness or outcome of any service performed by a Pro. Users hire workers at their own discretion and risk.
4. Independent Worker Responsibility
Pros are independently responsible for: pricing, scope of work, materials and tools, taxes and social charges, applicable insurance, and compliance with all Costa Rican laws and regulations including labor, tax and trade laws.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform for unlawful purposes, to harass other users, to post false reviews, to misrepresent identity, or to circumvent verification. ConnecTico reserves the right to suspend or remove any account that violates these Terms.
5.1 No Subcontracting (Zero-Tolerance)
The person shown on a Pro profile must be the same person who arrives to perform the work. Pros may not send friends, substitutes, employees, or any other worker under their account or profile. This is a strict, zero-tolerance policy. Violating this policy will result in immediate removal from the Platform.
6. Reviews and Content
ConnecTico is a one-sided review platform: only Customers may review Pros. Reviews must reflect genuine experience. ConnecTico may remove fraudulent or defamatory content.
7. Limitation of Liability
ConnecTico acts solely as a connection platform. Users hire professionals entirely at their own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConnecTico shall not be liable for any damages arising from any interaction between Customer and Pro, any service provided or not provided, or any use of the Platform.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ConnecTico harmless from any claims arising from your use of the Platform or your interactions with other users.
9. Removal Rights
ConnecTico reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove any Pro or Customer from the Platform for any violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica.
12. Platform Changes
ConnecTico reserves the right to modify, add, remove, or update platform features, pricing, verification processes, policies, and services at any time without prior notice.
13. No Warranty
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
